Landless worker’s movement and the fundamental right to decent work: an ethnographic research

Abstract

This article has dealt with the fundamental right to decent work, with emphasis on its constituent dimension of the psyche of subjects inserted in a market and the consumer society, marked by profound internal social disparities derived largely from its location peripheral and underdeveloped in the world-economy. The theoretical framework of the analysis of a reading between psychoanalysis and marxism, about the centrality of work in the psychic constitution of the subject. These two strands of thought are used from the observation of this theme in the life of rural workers belonging to a community of landless farmers in his path in search of work. It is the cross-reading of these two authors, that after launch are some reflections on the trajectory experienced by Pedro and Clara, rural workers, dedicated to family farming, which after a long journey in search of work, are today a members mst settlement, seeking to conclude about the role that this trajectory can play in the realization of the fundamental right to decent work and the expansion of subjective rights of those involved. The research method was ethnography, behold, the researchers directly experienced the reality they operate in the characters described and the exposure procedure the free narrative.
