Narratives that make it possible to think of education as a human right in Colombia

It is proposed to investigate the present context of education as a problem in Colombia, reflecting on the situation generated by the social struggles that seek to guarantee education as a “human right”, in the conditioning framework imposed by the political administrators of the neoliberal legal system, so that “education” does not have these attributes. Apparently against the background of the educational pretext as a service, the interests, and justifications of those who benefit from the efficient and profitable qualification of the establishment’s “human capital” are legislated and colluded. Seeking to analyze such a situation, this reflection begins with the following questions: Is it possible in Colombia to think about the full enjoyment of the right to education? Is it possible to think of education as a right not dependent on the law of the market? In what notions of education do those who argue the struggle for education as a right take refuge?
