The following review article aims to show how informal domestic work violates the rights of Afro-Colombian workers in Medellín. It was carried out through a literature review of articles published in freely accessible databases from 2015. According to the data obtained in the articles, regarding Afro-Colombian women working in Medellín in remunerated domestic work, it is found that this city is the place of hope for these women, since it is there that they have managed to improve their living conditions in terms of economy and access to education for their children. It was concluded that they suffer from a very high level of discrimination in respect of the violation of their fundamental labor rights, such as the right to decent work, access to social benefits, among others.
