Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The article is between 15 and 30 pages in length, with 8,000 to 10,000 characters.
- The submission must not have been previously published or under consideration by any other journal (A justification can be provided in the Comments to the Editor, but this does not guarantee publication).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
- Whenever possible, URLs are provided for the references.
- The text is formatted with 1.5 line spacing; Arial font, size 12; italic is used instead of underlining (except for URLs); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the appropriate places in the text, instead of at the end. Tables, graphs, and images should be submitted in their original format to achieve good image quality in the final text; each of them must have the source, location, and date cited in APA7 format at the bottom. Abbreviations, acronyms, and technical terms must have their full meaning provided when first mentioned. Citations and bibliography will follow APA7 format or its latest version. URLs should be referenced in the bibliography or references section, never within the text or footnotes. Footnotes are exceptional in APA7 format.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the Author Guidelines, which appear in the About the Journal section Directrices del autor/a.
- If submitted to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions under Ensuring a Blind Review must be followed.
- The author(s) declare that they are submitting the manuscript with the prior and express authorization of the public or private institution that finances or sponsors the preparation of the proposed text.
- The author expresses their willingness to publish the article and will complete the copyright transfer form for publication, reproduction, dissemination, adaptation or transformation, communication, interpretation, public performance, and distribution. Ratio Juris Journal allows authors to retain moral rights or authorship rights without restrictions, promoting academic freedom and the responsible dissemination of knowledge. This is in accordance with DECISION 351 Common Regime on Copyright and Related Rights, international treaties such as the Berne Convention (1886-1979), Law 23 of 1982, and Law 1915 of 2018.
